Privacy policy

Bagsy is run by Yellowcat Labs Ltd, Cyprus, which is responsible for your data. Contact: contact@yellowcatlabs.com.

We collect as little as we can. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we do not use tracking cookies.

Sellers

• What we collect: your first name, your WhatsApp number, your city and area, the title of your sale and your pickup date, and the photos and descriptions of your items. Your phone's location is never sent to us: when you use "Use my location", the area is chosen on your phone.
• Why: to publish your sale and let buyers contact you. Your WhatsApp number is never shown on your page: it is only used to open WhatsApp when a buyer taps a button.
• Photos: they are resized on your phone before upload, which removes hidden data such as the GPS position.
• Automatic help: to suggest titles, descriptions and prices, and to check listings against our rules, your item photos and texts are sent to an AI provider (Anthropic). They are not used to identify you.
• WhatsApp: if you confirm your number or ask for your sales on WhatsApp, the message goes through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform. We keep the result (confirmed or not), not the message.

Buyers

• Browsing a sale does not require any personal data.
• When you tap "Contact on WhatsApp", WhatsApp opens on your phone: the conversation happens between you and the seller, not through us.
• If you send a "Looking for something?" request, we keep your description, city, budget and contact (WhatsApp or email), only to tell you when a matching item is listed, and only with your consent.

Measurement

To count visits, we use an anonymous visitor code computed from your connection and browser, which changes every day. We never store your IP address. The only cookie we set is the one that lets a seller manage their own sale.

How long we keep data

• A sale ends 14 days after its pickup date, or 60 days after it was created.
• 90 days after a sale ends, its photos and the seller's number are deleted.
• You can delete your sale at any time: its photos, items and your number are deleted at once.
• "Looking for something?" requests are deleted after 90 days, or sooner if you ask.
• Anonymous measurement data is deleted after 6 months.

Who processes data for us

Our hosting providers (Vercel, Supabase), our AI provider (Anthropic), Meta for WhatsApp messages, and, for error reports and emails to our team, Sentry and Resend. They act on our instructions only.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, or object to its use, by writing to contact@yellowcatlabs.com. You can also complain to the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus.
